The Venatoria decoration was designed by Gio Ponti to be developed specifically on majolica, although he himself then arranged for it to also be performed on porcelain in engraved gold with an agate point. For its narrative theme, consisting of deer hunting scenes conducted by Amazons with their pack of dogs, this series has taken on the name of Venatoria.
