Alessandro Mendini has often thought of his project as a system of simple, complex, intertwined and infinitely developed signs on objects, houses, furnishings and surfaces. Stilema 6, pattern from 2006, is part of the "Visual Alphabets": signs, colors, images, decorative elements, always similar but always different, in a continuous and endless movement, like suspended meanings, waiting for their destiny to indicate a function.
