Description
Sam Hecht and Kim Colin, founders of the London studio Industrial Facility, are internationally known for the beauty and grace of their design, which almost always features the most common objects of everyday life. For Kristalia they designed Palco, an outdoor seating system inspired by pallets, slatted tables and classic outdoor flooring. Palco consists of a teak slatted platform with a metal base and one or more upholstered elements that can be combined to create different configurations, which can also be modified after purchase. The footboard can be covered entirely with the upholstered elements or used as a low table, on which to place a lamp, book or cocktail. The ideal placement suggested by Kristalia for Palco is in covered and semi-covered verandas and terraces.
To improve the longevity of products made of teak, Kristalia recommends covering them with special Casper covers.
Optional accessories:
- "Casper" protective covers: in areas near the sea or with a humid climate, or during a long period of inactivity, it is important to protect outdoor furniture well, even if it is produced with high-quality materials and finishes. That's why Casper covers are born: made of polyester Textile, they have a coated exterior that resists water and moisture, with exceptional durability and breathability, while the interior reduces moisture and temperature changes, protecting furniture from mold, frost and heat.

Much of our knowledge of materials springs from the vibrant industrial context all around us: technical clothing, automotive components and knitwear, to name but a few, are a constant inspiration to us to innovate and evolve.
