Description

Research in the field of design is constantly driven by new shapes, technologies and materials. The BCN stool is the result of one of these explorations, carried out in collaboration with the designer Harry-Paul It all started with a shape, an ergonomic and sinuous seat, followed by choosing a technology and a material that are uncommon in the furniture sector: PBT, a plastic that is both strong and flexible. This led to one of our iconic products, a stool that is now available in various versions: high, medium or low with a slide-frame base, with beech wood legs or with a height-adjustable structure. The seat and the bases are available in a variety of colours.

Kristalia represents the finest industrial craftsmanship. Innovative and technological, the company brings together manual skills with standard reproduction, highly specialised operators with mechanical production, efficiency and slow production. At Kristalia, the multidisciplinary Bluezone team experiments with materials and construction methods.

Italy is where 100% of our production takes place and where more than 90% of the raw materials we use – glass, steel, polypropylene, aluminium and wood – are sourced. Going against the trend, we also carry out some in-house processing, and in our powder coating centre we have created new colours: Exclusive Colors finishes. Much of our knowledge of materials springs from the vibrant industrial context all around us: technical clothing, automotive components and knitwear, to name but a few, are a constant inspiration to us to innovate and evolve.
